Perform one piece, or movement of a piece from the repertoire list of any music examination system syllabus such as ABRSM, LCM, TRINITY and else.

PIANO DUET FREE CHOICE CATEGORY [ IDR 800k ]
No Age Limit

Perform one free / own choice duet (4-hands, on 1 piano) piece, or movement of a piece by any composer within 5 minutes.

PIANO SOLO FREE CHOICE CATEGORIES
Perform one free / own choice repertoire within the time limit.


A : 7 years old [ IDR 600k ] (max. 3 minutes)

B : 10 years old [ IDR 600k ] (max. 4 minutes)

C :  13 years old [ IDR 650k ] (max. 5 minutes)

D : ≥ 14 years old [ IDR 650k ] (max. 6 minutes)

Venue Rules, Regulations & Safety Information

SHORT DESC.
  • Participants are expected to be present in the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled performance to re-register their attendance.
  • The participant will receive an order number to perform, in which if the participant has been called for 3 times and not present (or on stage) then he/she will be considered as bow out/resign from the competition.
  • To maintain the concentration of the performers and the judges, it is expected to keep quiet in the competition room by not talking, walking or running around the room.
  • Please put your cellphone/gadget on silent mode and do not receive phone calls in the room during the competition.
  • For the shared convenience and to maintain health protocols in the competition room, the participants may only be accompanied by one companion and teacher.
  • Apart from the committee, taking pictures or videos can only be done from the seats.
  • While the performance is in progress, the room door will be closed and re-opened during breaks between performances. It is not allowed to open the door by themselves.
  • Pieces must be performed by memory. All "Da Capo" and "Dal Segno" indications should be observed, but all other repeats (including First Ending) should be omitted, unless the repertoire specifies otherwise.
  • The result announcement and distribution of prizes will be arranged in such a way by the committee at the end of each category.
  • These ground rules were created in lieu / subtitute of technical meetings following the live event standards and as guidelines agreed upon by participants for entering the competition.

SHORT DESC.

The jury panel consists of professional pianists and educators in their fields. In awarding, jury members will give mark based on which qualities and abilities demonstrated by the performer in areas of technique, intonation, tempo, tone quality, interpretation, musicality, and performance as a whole.

The following prizes will be awarded to participants in all categories:
1st Prize: 90 points - above
2nd Prize: 85 - 89 points
3rd Prize: 80 - 84 points
4th Prize: 75 - 79 points
Honorable Mention: 74 points – bellow

There is no limit to the number of each prizes (individual assessment).

Trophy and Certificate will be distributed to all participants and Cash Prize to selected highest scorer.

Scholarship Masterclass with the jury member of for selected participants (*Limited to Piano Solo Free Choice Category only)

-Participants can take part in more than one category (with IDR 50k OFF on second to third category) and have to perform the work from memory.

-Registration is necessary for taking part of the competition, the application form is available at https://www.iymo.org/application-form/live-performance-application/

-Please complete the data accurately, also attached the form with the following files: age document (birth certificate/passport), proof of payment, and PDF repertoire (only Performance Grade and Free Choice Category)

-The decision of the juries will be final and will not open to further discussion. The committee will not accept any intervention during the event.

-A Jury member cannot vote for his/her own student. Therefore, the result of the score is taken from the average of the existing votes.

-The committee reserves the right to combine or divide any group categories depending on the numbers of participant in each category.

-By submitting the registration form, participants agree to the General Rules of the competition.
